Herman Geyer, an employee of Dry Dock Associates, lost his life while engaged as a carpenter in the construction of a drydock for the United States at the Norfolk Navy Yard in Virginia; and his widow and minor children were awarded compensation under the Longshoremens and Harbor Workers Compensation Act of March 4, 1927, 44 Stat. 1424, 33 U.S.C.A. § 901 et seq. This appealy by the employers and their insurance carrier challenges the jurisdiction of the Commission on the ground that the matter was wholly within the jurisdiction of the Industrial Accident Commission of Virginia.
